Umami

Synopsis
Umami is an immersive theatre experience in which the user steps into the shoes of a character sentenced to death and preparing to enjoy the multi-sensory experience of their last meal. This highly interactive experience subtly blends 2D and 3D, the real and the virtual, and, through the phenomenon of ‘Proust's madeleine’, the character's present and past, life, death and memories.
Some of the 3D assets, music and artistic direction from Umami were reused for eco-production purposes in the creation of the work Okawari, released in 2022.
