Okawari

Synopsis
Okawari is an interactive experience that invites four users – seated at a table in a Japanese izakaya restaurant – to question their relationship with (over)consumption, the digitalisation of reality, the acceleration of time, and to choose between several possible futures.
Eco-produced and designed from the upcycling of the previous work Umami, the installation directly integrates the environmental impacts related to its creation, production, and distribution into its artistic proposal.
During its presentation at festivals, a carbon counter displayed the carbon footprint of the work and evolved in real time according to the emissions generated by the travel of the installation and its visitors.
