Notes on blindness

Synopsis
In 1983, English theology professor and writer John Hull lost his sight permanently. In an attempt to understand and accept this upheaval in his life, he kept a diary recorded on audio cassettes for three years.
Based on this unique narrative testimony, Notes on Blindness VR is a journey into a world ‘beyond vision’ and immerses the user in the cognitive, emotional and sensory experience of blindness.
The depth and simplicity of the narration, the deliberately minimalist artistic direction that allows sounds and imagination to take centre stage, the quality of the spatialised binaural audio (with native binaural recordings), and the interactivity unprecedented for projects of this period have made this project one of the most award-winning at festivals and a true benchmark for several years for professionals in immersive creation.
